AM/PM and more on the toxic workplace

Before we begin, a few words about yesterday’s announcement.

No, not the news Carole Baskin’s husband may be alive and living in Costa Rica, but the announcement from Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern that she will be stepping down.

After the events of recent years, and particularly the increase in animosity directed at her, it was an understandable decision.

On a local level, it was interesting to observe the change in her leadership in recent years.

That included the obvious increase in specialist police staff attending even off-the-diary political engagements.

Politics aside, the vitriol directed at her for simply doing her job was appalling.
