I quite like booze (hearings).
In Dunedin we have had some gems, and I have an all time favourite.
In 2018 police took Heff's Hotel publican Stephen Clark and the company that owned the hotel, PC Bar Ltd, to the the Alcohol Regulatory and Licensing Authority (ARLA)
I remember doing an interview with Clark who gave me my favourite ever quote:
"What the police don't f...... understand is that this is not some f...... hob-nob wine bar in Maori Hill, where they discuss their new ride-on lawnmowers. This is a working man's pub."
Indeed.
