Two councillors to get extra $8640 each after Remuneration Authority rejection

This is a smackdown, of sorts, for the new council.

As you read this I am probably flying to the North Island, where I’m going to be spending my first ever night on a marae.

It is amazing that I’m in my forties and have never done that before.

This trip isn’t for work, but it is for family. And it is not my story to tell.

I had a few things to share this week, but I discarded them all when I saw the latest agenda for the Dunedin City Council.

And it makes for some interesting reading (a sentence I don’t usually write).
