Thanks Hamish. Glad to see that it has not been edited.

I suspect the Wakari property will end up being developed. You could possibly be interested in the buildings that they've recently knocked down in a goddawful housing development at David St in Caversham near the top of Hillside Road. These buildings could have made an excellent community hub and council told me, when I rang them several weeks ago, that there was nothing that I could do about their destruction.

Your a bit late on that development. The MidWinter Carnival team spent months looking for a new place to house the lanterns that were stored in some of those buildings. And that dates back to last year from memory.

I wasn't looking to rehouse the lanterns. Rather to save the buildings.

And you'll try and gaslight me on this for sure, but it's 'you're' not 'your'.

Meh, l ummed and aahed about editing it bug knew you'd understand.

My point being, it was known for months before you started looking into it that something was going to happen to those buildings. Why did it take so long for you to look into it?

I can't remember them putting a notification up. I live nearby, walk or cycle past it everyday. If I'd seen a notice I would have done something to try and stop it. But I didn't see such a notice. I'm just a citizen, not involved in the art scene here in Dunedin like you? and Aaron are.

Why didn't you do something about it if you were in on the little secret? Why didn't Aaron do something about it? Why didn't Sophie do something about it?

I can guarantee though that if elected Mayor that abandoned buildings on Princes St, Rattray St, Manse and Broadway as well King Edward St and elsewhere will be attended to. Rather than to be ignored and left for developers to destroy as they are being left now.

Also building materials should be reused not sent to a dump and then claimed that they are being recycled such as at the hospital site.

I wouldn't consider myself part of the art scene, more just aware of things happening in the city, and as the fact that the tenants were losing their space in those buildings... It was reported on by at least Allied Press (ODT and The Star), if not Stuff as well. If you were as concerned as you say you are about those buildings, how did you not spot this information earlier and query?

While I am in the area on a regular basis, they weren't buildings that stuck out as needing to be saved, and I personally think the high density housing going in there (and the other on already completed down the road, is a great idea.

Nobody around here thinks that, everyone thinks that they're poor builds and way too expensive. And the buildings that they knocked down were good buildings as well.

Hi Hamish, the two other "Victorian" town belts are Wellington and Adelaide.

Grant Miller said in yesterday's ODT that we wern't taking the fight to Aaron. Although I disagree (Aaron left it to his 'squad' to repond to me at the University) I've taken the fight to the very, very unimpressive Aaron here.

Oh perfect, I wondered if it was the ISS when I spotted it travelling from Balclutha to Dunedin. Kids were impressed when I told them that that was what we saw.

Did you miss the person who presented to the council meeting a couple of weeks back?

Escapee of what Mr Pies?

And maybe you should push the sarcasm towards Aaron's direction.

Aaron also an escapee? This is huge.

I like a bit of sarcasm every now and then, but when someone can't escape it I guess the 'lowest form of wit' applies.

I don't know how referring to her as a person is incorrect? Is she homo sapiens instead?

Did you ask her for her pronouns first? Isn't that how it works with you guys?

A person is a person, there are no pronouns used 🤷‍♀️

I always loved this, even if he is from a right wing party (but still to the left of all the TRA warriors). Enjoy how wrong you can possibly be Toni;
